Etude No. 1 - Corroboration (based on the harmony from Confirmation by Charlie Parker.)
This etude is a study in two-line counterpoint. This approach is rather difficult for guitarists, myself included - which is why I found myself with a desire to write my own study, so that I can better utilize this way of thinking in my own playing. I would recommend that before attempting to learn this etude, one ought to be familiar with the song that this piece is based on- I would be happy to take on students looking to expand their improvisational technique, their jazz chops, or anything relating to the guitar or music making.
